Under the direction of a Bureau Chief, Deputy Bureau Chief, or other supervisory official in the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability, the DAG investigates and prosecutes violations of New Jersey criminal laws, specifically related to public corruption offenses and criminal activities that violate the public trust. DAsG interpret and enforce laws and regulations; conduct work concerned with the detection and prosecution of criminal activities; provide legal guidance to law enforcement officers; draft memoranda of law; and handle all aspects of case litigation, including but not limited to case assessment, legal research, discovery coordination, grand jury presentations, court filings, attorney correspondence, court appearances, motion practice, pre-trial preparation, case management, and trial. DAsG also serve on various task forces and working groups; work closely with supervisory and executive staff to cultivate, improve, and maintain strong working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners; work on special projects and initiatives; and perform other related work as needed. This position may also require non-traditional work hours, on an as-needed basis, including evenings and weekends on short deadlines for certain assignments, with or without advance notice, and may require travel to perform the aforementioned responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey is required.
